Core Activity
Warm up continued for the second week. Next week onwards, we expect move on the core curriculum.
Padyam Revision
నీళ్ళ లోన మీను నిగిడి దూరము పారు (please see last week's update for full poem)
Revision - Telugu week days, rutuvulu, Telugu months, directions. In their home work the students are expected to write these on a white paper and submit. Please refer to the following for any questions.
Textbooks for this year were distributed
Concept of saametalu (సామెతలు) introduced. First the English proverb "Grass looks greener on the other side" was taken and explained.
In a similar way, the following telugu saametalu were introduced. Parents, please discuss with your children about the sametalu and where they would be used in life.

Reading & Writing Telugu sentences (homework sentences were visited and discussed in the class)
Plan for next week
2 moral stories - reading & writing a few sentences from each story
sametalu - revision of last week, 2-5 new sametalu
ankelu (అంకెలు) from zero to large numbers
Homework
On a white paper in your notebook, write the following and bring to the next class.
Seven days of a week in Telugu
Eight directions (దిక్కులు) with the picture shown above
Twelve Telugu months
Please note:
The students are coming without a notebook and pen/pencil. Please ensure that they get a notebook & pen/pencil.
It is highly recommended for the students to have a binder as I plan to give printouts in most classes. The students need to preserve the printouts to prepare well for the exams later in the academic year.
Parents, please speak to your children only in Telugu to maximize their learning.
